Description
The triaxial testing system determines the strength and deformation characteristics of soils under a controlled stress state: unconsolidated-undrained (UU), consolidated-undrained (CU) with pore pressure measurement, and consolidated-drained (CD) tests.
A 50 kN load frame with a stepper drive, two automatic pressure/volume controllers and a pore pressure transducer operate under unified software: back-pressure saturation, the Skempton B-value check, consolidation and shearing are executed by scenario without operator intervention.
The cells for specimens of 38–100 mm diameter are rated for pressures up to 2 MPa. The modular architecture allows the system to be later extended to tests with on-specimen strain measurement and cyclic loading.
