Description
The rotational viscometer measures the dynamic viscosity of bituminous binders, polymer-modified binders and emulsions over the range of processing temperatures. The results are used to plot the viscosity–temperature curve for assigning the mixing and compaction temperatures of the mixture.
The thermal system with an electrically heated chamber and a digital controller brings the sample to the set temperature of up to 260 °C and maintains it to within ±0.1 °C. Automatic speed selection keeps the torque within the optimum measuring range.
The software controls the temperature programme, records viscosity point by point and generates a report with the viscosity–temperature curve.
