Product code IT-AS320
Wheel tracking machine with temperature-controlled chamber
Machine for testing asphalt slabs for rutting resistance with a loaded wheel in a thermostatically controlled chamber.
- 24-month warranty and spare parts from stock
- Commissioning, staff training and methodological support
- Assistance with equipment certification as part of your laboratory
Description
The machine reproduces repeated passes of a wheel over an asphalt slab specimen at elevated temperature and records the depth of the developing rut. The method is used in volumetric mix design and in acceptance testing of mixtures for high-category roads.
The loaded wheel with a rubber tyre travels back and forth at the standard frequency; the rut depth is measured by LVDT transducers at 25 points along the wheel path. The temperature chamber maintains the test temperature to within ±1 °C.
The software plots the rut development curve, calculates the curve slope and the rut depth as a percentage of the slab thickness, generating the test report automatically.
